Indian Nature Tours

Dear Travel Partners,

We hope this message finds you, your family and your friends safe and sound.

After almost 2 year break we are all looking forward to start our travels and exploring new places, new sites. The minimized human activity inadvertently proved to be a blessing for nature, giving it a chance to recuperate and heal itself.

In last 2 year or so, 3 Global Bio-Diversity Hotspots in India- The Himalayas, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and The Western Ghats have come out with many new discoveries.

Generally it is very rare to find new species of birds and mammals. But, India added 557 new species to its count, which includes 407 new species and 150 new records. This brings its faunal species to 1,02,718 named species of animals.

Likewise India added 267 plant species to the Flora of Country. With 202 new plant species and 65 new record. India now has about 45,000 species of plants, identified and classified of which around 28 percent are endemic to India. In these 2 year Forest and Tree cover also increased by 2,261 sq.km.

A special mention for The Andaman and Nicobar Islands, 20 new species from different groups including Narcondam Tree Shrew. A rare and exciting discovery brings the total to 11,000 faunal count. These islands are hidden treasure of 2500 species of flowering plants of which 223 species are endemic, 55 species of mammals (32 endemic), 244 species of birds (96 endemic), 76 species of reptiles (24 endemic) and around 179 species of coral.

Most of discoveries were made in the year 2020 but 2021 also brought exciting news. A new species of snake, Himalayan Kukri, was discovered. A new species of squirrel, Tibetan Wolly Flying Squirrel was discovered. A new record was made after 25 years of a species from Laughing Thrush family-Mount Victoria Babax. Recently a sighting of Endangered Gharial in River Brahmaputra indicates the resilience of nature.

More on sightings- In March 2022 a new record of sighting of a rare bird for Delhi NCR was made by a group of birders- A Non-breeding Male Brambling normally seen in Europe or in India in higher reaches of Himalayas like in Kashmir, Himachal and more nearer to Delhi in hills above Doon Valley.

We welcome you to come to India and see its magnificent wildlife including Tiger, Lions, Leopards whether it is common Leopard, Snow Leopard or very rare Clouded Leopard, Many type of smaller Cats species, Primates or Lone species of Ape plus many more.

We in INT will look forward to welcome you in India and enjoy our hospitality.

WILDLIFE INDIA COMMENDATIONS
CmmendationsDear Manoj,
Elephant Safari - Corbett National Park, Wildlife India Tour Please find enclosed a DVD with the best of my photos from my tour earlier this year. I hope you find them interesting and perhaps even useful for your business. I finally managed to get them processed and saved to disc and apologize for the time this has taken. You have my permission to use any of these photos in your publicity material or website but I am sure you will have many that are even better.
Alison and I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you again for our fantastic and truly unforgettable honeymoon. Everything was impeccable organized and the whole trip was perfect. Out of many hours of traveling and many different modes of transport used, only one thing went wrong. Of course, this was also the part of the trip you didn't arrange.

Everything that you recommended and organized went without incident. The hotels were all very good and the level of service provided by the staff in each hotel was exceptional. The drivers that you provided us with were also excellent. They spent many hours behind the wheel, in driving conditions that are without doubt very demanding. Your drivers never gave us any cause of concern, even if some other road users did! The laws of the road are very different to the UK, but all part of the traveling experience and even our longer journeys felt like they only lasted half the time, as we were always able to look with interest at new sights out of the window.

Our National Park experience are worthy of far mare than what I can describe in words but to say that they were beyond our expectations is a huge understatement. We were stunned by the density of the wildlife in each park and the photo opportunities were tremendous. As you know, we started with two leopard and three tiger sightings in Pench and never looked back. We were very fortunate with our sightings in all parks and at the end of our tour we had seen a minimum of 17 different tigers with around 35 separate viewings. i.e. sometimes we saw the same tiger at a different time and /or location. We also saw three leopards, spotted deer, sambar deer, hog deer, barking deer, barasingha, wild boar, jungle cat, Nilgai, gaur, langur monkeys, jackal, rhesus macaques, mugger crocodile, gharial and many different species of birds. Each park offered a different experience and we are glad that we made the effort to travel to each one. We were continually amazed by the different species, landscapes and climate in each park and we really can't pick a favorite.

We do hope to return to your beautiful country again and when we do, we will definitely use your services. I have recommended you to all my family, friends and work colleagues and I have also posted your details on a photography website. You may remember that you put me in touch with one of your previous clients before we confirmed our booking and I would like to return the favour if anyone is interested in hearing more details about our trip or to put their mind at ease regarding the payment of deposit etc. Please do not hesitate to contact me should this need arise.

We would also like to extend an invitation to you and your family to get in touch if you are ever across in the UK. Since my return, I have spent a great deal of time on wildlife photography and would be glad to show you some excellent local sites. Unfortunately, I can't promise any tigers but there are river otters, red squirrels and ospreys all within ten minute drive from our house.

Yours sincerely,

Stuart and Alison
